Portforwarding Nighthawk R6

Hello,

I have got a R8000 Router and want to do portforwarding.

I wanted to just make it like in my TPLink router.

Because in the past i had more servers to logon to i used more ports.

But now i have only 1 server were everything is integrated to.

In my TP Link i could forward more external ports to 1 internal port on 1 ipadres.

Now the Netgear doesn't let me do that and comes with the messege that there is a conflict.

How can i solve this?

Somehting like 80/TCP, 81/TCP, 82/TCP, 83/TCP -> one LAN IP, 80/TCP for example?

Not sure why you want tho do that. In a strict NAT config, it's more than just a little bit strange. Best guess you don't want to change any configuration out there. I don't think this is possible.

Re: Portforwarding Nighthawk R6

Hello Kurt.
Well normal onze port will do it but in de past in had more servers on more poets with users who could log into this.
After Someren time i integrated this tot one server with one port.
In all my routers i had i could this.
This is my first router what can not do this.
So the cheaper routers are smarter then this one.
Thanks for the comment.
I will look if another brand van do this and i will change over then if i can not make this running.

Hi peteralm,

In port forwarding, you can configure the external port to use different port numbers and use the needed port number for Internal port.

Re: Portforwarding Nighthawk R6

@JamesGL, in my understanding @peteralm is looking for an overloaded NAT with multiple ports on the WAN/I ternet interface NATed to a single LAN IP and port, ie. 75..85/TCP  to 80/TCP.

Re: Portforwarding Nighthawk R6

Multiple ports to one port on the same LAN IP is requested - not possible as per the referenced post.

"(2 or more) external ports - (1) internal port - (2 or more) IP address (this should work)
(2 or more) external ports - (1) internal port - (single) IP address (NO!!!)"
