Power outage issues
My 3 neighbors and I all have the R6700....connected to fiiber optic. Even the briefest power outage, the units will not reset. Our security systems are tied in and we then lose camera access of course. If we unplug them for 30 seconds, reconnect, they work fine. Any suggestions on how to deal with this. They are summer homes, so we aren't always there to unplug them..... Prior routers didn't have this issue, and all three of ours do it.

Re: Power outage issues
A ups would be correct answer one would think but unless they have a online ups power supply that runs off the batteries all the time and keeps they charged when normal main voltage is up and running. Only discharges the batteries when no main voltage into the ups.
An offline ups has to transfer from the ac mains to the battery supply you still lose the router connection.
Another way is a timer that senses the ac mains voltage and turns on after 30 seconds the power returns central air units have these meet to save the compressor.
