Problem: My R7800 nighthawk router assign same IP for different mac devices

Hello,

I don't know why My R7800 router assign the same IP for different mac devices.

How can i fix that?

I have another access point with disabled DHCP and ip: 192.168.1.5.

The range ip addresses for my R7800 router, start from 192.168.1.21 to 192.168.1.254.

Thank you very much for your reply and concern,

This happened when I reserve an ip and reboot the router.
but, after turning off one of the duplicated devices and turn it on again,
the problem is solved and i don't know why.

1. What are those two devices that have the same IP address?

2. Can you check if the IP are set to static or obtain the devices side?

3. What is the firmware version of the router?

Hi JamesGL,

1.The first device is Roomba and the other is harmony ultimate.

2. The ip obtain the device side.

3. The latest firmware: V1.0.2.04.

Try to reset the router to factory default and manually reconfigure. Check if the same issue happens.

After factory reset, the same conflict with ip: 192.168.1.21.

If you check the IP address on the device(not through the device manager), will it show the same IP address? Can you try to configure the IP reservation if it will change.
