Purchase nighthawk X10 under warranty but already registered
Hello
I bought a used r9000 router under warranty on Amazon
The problem is that the previous owner has already registered the router. So I do not have access to the add-ons because the accounts do not match.
How do I do that?
I'd like to attach the router to my account...
Thanks for your answer

Re: Purchase nighthawk X10 under warranty but already registered
Bonjour @Biofx80,
Tu viens de poster sur le forum français, où d’habitude on s’exprime en français.
Anyway, I shall endeavour to continue in English, just to make sure you understand.
If by "…under warranty..." you refer to Netgear’s warranty, well, one should bear in mind that it does not cover used products, since that warranty is not transferable and applies only to the first buyer, which you are not.
You can read about Netgear’s warranty here https://www.netgear.fr/about/warranty/ .
You’ll also notice that the warranty only applies if you bought your R9000 from a Netgear authorized reseller.
“...This warranty applies to any NETGEAR products you have purchased from an authorized NETGEAR reseller...
So no point trying to register it.
You still have the vendor’s warranty though.
Have a nice day.
A+.
