Questions before buying Nighthawk AC2100

I am considering buying a NightHawk AC2100 but I have a couple of questions.

With all the devices used in homes today, i.e., computers, tablets. cell-phones, smart TVs, light bulbs, switches, cameras, alarm sensors, personal assistants, etc, how many connections can this router handle?

Is there a size limit on the USB drive that can be attached to this router?

Can users both read and write to the USB drive remotely over the internet?

If all other device are turned off except the router and the attached USB drive, will I still be able to access the USB drive remotely? (Like when I'm away on vacation.)

Thank you for any assistance. (The Netgear CSR I spoke with was clueless!)

You can get an idea of what you can use from this page:

Will my USB drive work with ReadySHARE | Answer | NETGEAR Support

As you'll see, it does not include all routers and all USB drives, but it is the best you'll get from Netgear.

For serious networking use Ethernet. You can now buy Ethernet NAS for a reasonable price. I paid £95 yesterday for a 3 TB drive.

If you set it up properly.

There is support for the AC2100, including a manual, at the end of this link:

>>>AC2100 | Product | Support | NETGEAR<<<

Read the stuff on Readyshare along with this:

ReadySHARE: Your Router Can Do Everything | NETGEAR

Me too.

Just another user.

My network DM200 -> R7800 -> GS316 -> PL1000 -> Orbi RBR40 -> Orbi RBS50Y -> RBS40V
