R6350 drops the 2.4 ghz intermittently, 5 ghz never drops
This has just started happening in the last month or so. The 2.4 ghz will randomly drop while the 5 ghz stays working. I have to reset the router to get it working again. I contacted support and they said it was a resolvable issue that we were experiencing packet loss from congestion (or something like that). I wanted to see if I could fix it without having to pay support to do it. We have had the router for about a year and a half. We have recetly moved and have only experienced problems since we moved. In our previous home we had a ruckus setup though.

what modem/gateway is it connected to?
What firmware version are you on?
Have you tried changing the 2.4ghz channel? 2.4ghz is more sensitive to interference so changing to a less congested channel can help

The modem is a Netgear voice cable modem CM500V.
The current firmware version on the router is: V1.1.0.78_1.0.1
I havent really tried anything on it yet. I am a complete novice when it comes to this stuff and I didn't want to accidentally make things worse.

I usually use either inssider or acrylic wifi scanner.
It lets you see whats broadcasting on what channel (and channel overlap) to help choose the best channel.
