R6400 slow download speeds (which firmware)

Hello.
I was looking for solution but i didn't found any. So i have r6400 v2, and i changed my plan for 1 gigabit from comcast.
After 3 days of having speeds around 250mbps i decided to call comcast support and I asked them why they didn't changed my plan. But they said that i have 1000mbps internet, so i decided to find a problem.
I found a problem, a firmware. I updated it to last version but it made it worse, i had speeds around 180/200mbps.
Then i downgraded firmware to 1.0.2.52_1.0.39 version, results - 580mbps download 44mbps upload.
It's still half of speed which i supposed to have, that's why i'm asking you, which version of firmware will work for me to have full speed.

What modem are you connected to?

After the firmware change, factory reset the device. During setup make sure to leave access control, parental controls, qos, and traffic monitoring all disabled.

Also make sure to test hardwired in and test multiple sites. Even speedtest.com doesn't always pick the fastest server.

And the speeds you're getting from the router, are those wireless or hardwired?

Re: R6400 slow download speeds (which firmware)

Do this.

Install version 1.0.3.66 of the firmware. After the install and reboot, factory reset it using the built in factory erase (advanced---->administration---->backup settings---->erase)

then when its fully erased and rebooted, test the speeds right off it with nothing changed. not ssid. just straight from factory.
