R6700v2 Dropping Wireless Connection on one PC

I just got my Nighthawk AC1750 yesterday, setup went fine, created 2.4 and 5G wireless, added phones and laptops, and speeds greatly increased from my old Netgear.

However, I have the problem of one laptop that connects to the 2.4 network, between 10-40 minutes of being connected, it stops receiving data from the network. It still shows it as connected and secured, it just stops receiving or sending data.

After disconnecting and re-connecting to the network it will work again, for another 10-40 minutes. It will not come back on it's own.

Devices:

*Brand new R6700v2 Router. Has firmware v1.2.0.8. Was updated right away, so I don't know if it had the issue on the older firmware.

*HP 4545s Laptop running Windows 10 64-bit Insider Preview build 17040.

  - Network adapter: Broadcom 4313GN on driver version from 2/20/2014 - 6.30.223.227.

Network adapter was on a version from June 2013, was still having the issues. After lots of searching I found the version above but still having issues.

Steps taken:

Rebooted router.

Restarted PC.

Completely re-installed Network adapter, and tried many driver versions.

Set adapter to enabled 20/40 MHz mode

No other device, including a 7-year old Windows 7 Laptop on the same network and at least two phones on the 5G wireless, have this issue.

Since I am running a beta build of Windows 10 it's possible it might be the issue, but it did not have this problem with the older router.

Any Ideas? Should I try an older firmware?

Re: R6700v2 Dropping Wireless Connection on one PC

Hi Mister36,

Can you connect the laptop to 5Ghz?

Can you try changing the channel for 2.4Ghz?

If still the same after changing channel, Try to reset the router.

Try older firmware as well if still the same after the reset.
