I'm trying to get my local MAMP externally accessible. I've setup the virtual hosts, the port forawrd, and using No-IP as an external hosting provider. However, it always defaults to the login screen, so I can't bypass the router login and redirect traffic to my web server. Any ideas?

Oh for the love of god, I had htpasswd setup.... make sure you don't have .htaccess setup with a login requirement on your local host... and forget about it!

.... Yeah, OK Jim, I will heed your advice... just like I should have the last two times Murphy snagged me with .htaccess 🙂
