R7000 - 5Ghz signal (and channels) suddenly extremely weak

I have to stand ten feet away from my router to be able to connect to my 5Ghz signal. Before I could be farther away. Now I get 2.4Ghz speeds when I change the 5Ghz channel to <149 numbers. But I get horrible speeds or no connection at all when I change the 5Ghz channel to >149 numbers, unless I stand really close to the router. It was never like this until yesterday. I left the router off for a night, rebooted it and electronics, and checked for updates, but as I walk further from the router my devices cannot locate or connect to the now drastically weak 5Ghz channel . Has anyone solved this problem before?
