R7000 AC 1900 Will this handle 1 GB Internet service?

I have just upgraded from 300 MB to 1000 MB.  Will my present router handle this amount of 1GB?  If not what do you suggest.

It should work, but it may depend on the modem. The LAN ports are certainly up to the task. But don't expect a full 1000. More likely mid- to high-900s from what people say here.

At that speed, disable QoS. (You don't really need it as 300 MB.)

Suck it and see, is my advice. Don't spend any money before you know you have to.

Router 'should' be able to handle it.  But expect a max around 949 Mbps (see duckware.com/testwan2lan for why).

Gbps wired clients should easily get that speed, but as far as virtually all wireless clients, they will not -- they will see a much reduced Mbps (see duckware.com/wifi for why).
