R7000 AC1900 Restarts when wifi downloads exceed 1mb per second

My r7000 has been restarting itself when downloading seems to exceed 1mb/s I know this is the problem because I've throttled the download speeds to below a mb and it works ok. Can this router not handle the load? Happening on 2 and 5 ghz, I have 10+ devices connected. Doesn't seem to happen on ethernet connection. Any advice, recommendations, best alternative firmware?
Thanks

Re: R7000 AC1900 Restarts when wifi downloads exceed 1mb per second
We released a new firmware see if that changes anything.

Seems like the device still wants to continually reboot after 2-10 minutes of playing games and streaming.

Re: R7000 AC1900 Restarts when wifi downloads exceed 1mb per second
I resolved this issue with a downgrade to 1.09.34 last night.
Everything is working as expected at this point (including my Circle device).
I will attempt an upgrade to 1.09.42 tonight, and see how that works out, but I recommend the downgrade at this point for you as well, to see if that helps at all.

Your new firmware is garbage..with constant random reboots and connection issues. .42 is the last firmware that worked well.

Re: R7000 AC1900 Restarts when wifi downloads exceed 1mb per second
I have had some setting and config issues, as i am using this router as a bridge now. However, the original problem of restarts due to wifi downloads has been resolved. I have downloaded multiple items at high download rates and the router has stayed on and not disconnected/restarted.

Re: R7000 AC1900 Restarts when wifi downloads exceed 1mb per second
Can't speak for any of thre FW revs since 1.0.9.42. Stability has not been an issue in my 5 years of R7000 ownership.
The router has never restarted under any circumstances regardless of the load put on it's interfaces (wired or wireless). While this could be an issue with FW above .42 (I have no experience with them). The hardware is not inheriently faulty, anyone having stabilty issues, unexpected restarts, etc, should look at their FW and how it was loaded.
The most common cause of instability and restarts (at least with earlier revisions) is corrupt FW loaded using auto-check and update, automatic update or using Genie via a wireless connection.

Re: R7000 AC1900 Restarts when wifi downloads exceed 1mb per second
UPDATE: I managed to brick this router while messing around trying different things. I re-loaded the netgear stock firmware via the TFTP recovery method and the router seems to be running much better, handling lots of traffic with no reboots. It may be worth a shot if your at wits end. The procedure can be found here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/General-WiFi-Routers-Non/Guide-How-to-quot-unbrick-quot-your-WGR614...
It may take a few minutes to complete then it restarts itself, i had to reset it after as well to get it up.
Good luck, Cheers
