R7000 Download failed network error
Hi all,
I've recently tried downloading a 1.7GB file from a UK server. The download fails every time at 1.0GB. Doesn't matter time of day, browser (Chrome, Firefox). I've even tried on a separate Linux machine using Firefox with an ethernet connection! Same result. I've never seen the issue before. Other similar sized downloads work fine locally. Other users trying to download the same file report no issues. The only thing in common is the Netgear R7000 router. I'm baffled. Any suggestions? My router firmware is V1.0.11.126_10.2.112
Many thanks in advance.

My first question is, do you actually have the R7000P AC2300 router or do you have the R7000 AC1900? because the firmwares are different. You claim to have the R7000P and the latest firmware for that router is:
R7000P Firmware Version 1.3.3.142 - Hot Fix | Answer | NETGEAR Support
If it's the AC1900 model you have, the latest version is:
R7000 Firmware Version 1.0.11.128 | Answer | NETGEAR Support
Irrespective, I can't answer your main question. Are you using a VPN?
