Hi,
I recently found my Nighthawk R7000 router and I'd like to use it again. It's current firmware version is 1.0.7.12, and I'd like to know if the updates are cumalative and I can just download and update to 1.0.11.100 (and the hotfix, too of course) or is there a specific firmware update path like when I updated my ReadyNAS (6.2.2 -> 6.2.5 -> 6.5.2 ->6.10.x).
Thanks 🙂

I've never seen any requirement for a stepped update on these
devices. Presumably the (usually worthless) Release Notes would say
something if it were.
I'd run the experiment. I'd also do a settings reset after after any
big-jump update (because of my great faith in Netgear router firmware).

Re: R7000 Firmware Updates from v1.0.7.12
@antinodeThanks for the reply, I've never encountered stepped firmware updates on routers before either but maybe because I've recently been updating my NAS firmware I thought I'd better check in case I bricked it.
I updated it to 1.0.11.100 and the hotfix this morning and touch wood - all seems good 🙂

It has happened, but rarely. The Orbi system went through it once, when there had to be an intermediate update to get around a memory issue of some sort.
