R7000 Firmware Version 1.0.11.128
the download for the firmware update is problematic...ok i download it. then what?

Go to downloads and download the manual for the R7000. Go to page 96 and follow the instructions on how to manually upload firmware to the router.
I usually advise people to manually update. I tend to see more issues with people who use the auto-update or updating over the app/wifi than those who manually update over a hardwired connection.
