R7000 Firmware Version V1.0.7.6_1.1.99 Locking up
My R7000 Firmware Version V1.0.7.6_1.1.99 keeps locking up. I cannot attach to an SSID even though I can see my SSID. Just before it locks up I loose DNS and access to the web. I still have a PC IP address. The only thing I can do is power cycle the R7000. I am using charter but I don't think thats the issue because cycling the power on the router sloves the issue. It happens about every 10 minutes or so.
I would rather not downgrade firmware.

Did you reset to defaults when you updated FW?

Did not know I needed to reset, so I reset to factory an hour ago and so far so good.

You're welcome,
Resetting although painful at times is a best practise.

Thanks, still working great.
Would a backup before updating then restoring after work or would the backup of an older version be an issue as well?

Re: R7000 Firmware Version V1.0.7.6_1.1.99 Locking up
Using a backup from a previous FW is a bad idea. Actually back ups are like sharing a needle, it's risky in all scenarios.
