R7000 Nighthawk Router fastest configuration setup

Hello, I have the Nighthawk router and it doesn't seem to be going the fastest that I truly believe it's truly cabable of being,  Can anyone  show or help me with making it blazing fast?  I'd be extremely grateful.

please be a little more specific. do you mean blazing fast being thrown down a staricase because the wifi speeds drop shortly after rebooting the router that makes one pull their hair out after they bought a $250 router that has these problems?

or do you mean something like you have a gigabit connection and you feel that your download speed don't always get close to 900mbps so you want to see if you can enable any settings that allow it to perform better

What speed do you get?

Is it faster if you measure the speed directly at the modem without the router?
