R7000 ReadyCloud web access not working iOS (iPhone/iPad) app is working

Does any know why I can't access my USB drive (the folders) over the web (FireFox,Chrome, IE), the R7000 icon shows up but clicking on it does not show any directories. Works ok on my iPhone and iPAD.

I've tried different USB drives and USB sticks - all with the same results.

Firmware version: V1.0.4.30_1.1.67

Re: R7000 ReadyCloud web access not working iOS (iPhone/iPad) app is working

Ok finally found time to get back to my R7000 readyCloud issues – It’s Fixed !!!

Doing a factory reset worked (thanks JamesGL). After doing the factory reset the first thing I did was setup the readCloud USB drive.

Steps taken:

Before the reset:

  • Un-registered router from ReadyCLOUD.
  • Deleted my existing ReadyCLOUD account.

Then……reset….

  • From the Advanced (tab) -> Administration (dropdown menu) -> Backup Settings --- Reverted to factory default settings (Click Erase button).
  • Setup a new ReadCLOUD account (same user and password as before)
  • Registered the router with the ReadycLOUD account.
  • Rebooted the router
  • The USB drive showed up.
  • Then setup the reset of the router (SID, Password, IP range,…etc…)

As a test, before step 8 above I restored my old configuration, this put me right back to where I was – didn’t work anymore.

Thank for the help, works on all devices.

Re: R7000 ReadyCloud web access not working iOS (iPhone/iPad) app is working

Update: Installed the Windows7 ReadyCloud App it's not working either - just says "offline". Can navigate to the drive using \\readyshare network drive and can see all the directories,

Hi @Dan001,

Please try the following steps:

1. Reboot the router.

2. Unregister your ReadyCloud account in UI.

3. Register again your account then check if you can still see offline.

Re: R7000 ReadyCloud web access not working iOS (iPhone/iPad) app is working

James,

Thanks for the reply. I tried what you said and it didn't work, and now the iPhone dosn't work either - thant's ok. Before I did anythng the iPhone did work, so I'll try to get that working again tomorrow, The iPhone issue is not a big deal becasue I don't plan on accessing the readycloud drive via my phone anyway, but it's a good test.

I'm using Cox as a service provider - Modem: SURFBoard Model SB5120 if that helps.

Any other ideas would be much appriciated.

THANKS

Re: R7000 ReadyCloud web access not working iOS (iPhone/iPad) app is working

Hi @Dan001,

Can you perform a factory reset instead of reboot? Mine works after the reboot and unregistering/registering the cloud account.

Re: R7000 ReadyCloud web access not working iOS (iPhone/iPad) app is working

James,

Thanks for the suggestion I will give that a try over the weekend, I'm out of town until then - I'll keep you posted.

As a software engineer I perfer to something more systematic to get to the root cause, but I've tried everything else.

I'll provide updates on Saturday.
