R7000: Using an external drive with a powered usb hub

I can connect a WD Passport drive into the 3.0 USB connection and see it fine. If I plug a powered USB hub into the 3.0 and then plug thumb drives and the Passport drive into it, I can see the thumb drives OK but I cannot see the Passport. Normal? Setting to correct? Something else?

Does the USB hub have its own power?

Nevermind, I see now that you said in the title it is powered. Is the drive self-powered or is it pulling power via USB?

Yes. It is a 3.0 powered hub.

The drive gets its power from the USB connection.

Make sure the drive is self-powered, that could be an issue.

Also, try unplugging all of the other drives from the hub, in case you may have hit some kind of device limit on the port.
