R7000 dropping connection

I have the updated the firmare on my R7000 AC1900 router and I am still losing my connection from the modem. I have reset both and searched other troubleshooting methods and I cannot seem to figure it out. Any suggestions on what has worked?

Welcome to NETGEAR Community! 

 

Do you have stable connection from the modem? We need to make sure that connection from the modem is stable as the router is dependent to it.

The connection from the modem is good. I've tested it and also called the cable company to have them test it. On their end they haven't seen any issues or a signal dropping out coming to my modem either. I did switch the channels to only one channel on the router and it seems to have worked for now, I stress of 153 channels, I have one and maybe it was interference that was causing the issue. So far so good.
