Re: R7000 log entries, dozens of dhcp entries for a iphone7

I have the same router and was seeing the exact same thing this morning - dozens of DHCP records per hour in the log corresponding to one device, which was also an iPhone. While I can't say what caused it or if the problem lies with the router or client, I am happy to share that I was able to make it stop.
Removing my network from the iPhone, power-cycling, and then re-joining my network solved this for me. Over 10 hours now with only 1 DHCP record total in the log from this device, where previously I would see several hundred in the same amount of time. I hope this works for you.

Detailed steps performed for those who need it

Removing my network from the iPhone: On the iPhone I launched the Settings app, and then tapped Wi-Fi. Then I tapped on the ( i ) to the right of the my Wi-Fi network's name, then tapped Forget This Network and then Forget.

Power-cycling: On the iPhone I held down the Power Button until the slide to power off option appeared, and then I slid the circle from left to right, powering off the phone. Then I waited 30 seconds and held down the Power Button until the phone turned back on.

Re-joining my network: On the iPhone I launched the Settings app, and then tapped Wi-Fi. Then I tapped on the name of my network, tapped out the password, and then tapped Join.
