I use this router for apple TV, Sony phone, iPhone, they are able to connect 5G signal,
but I need to reset the router for Macbook pro to search the 5G signal everytime When I need to connect.
Is there any way to solve this problem?

I changed the channel of my 5 GHz from 36 to 153,
changed 2.4GHz to 12,
then my macbook pro is able to connect and search the 5GHz SSID,
maybe I lived in a building apartment,
too many channel are interferred together,
so my iphone can connect but macbook doesn't.
You should check your area with the same channel,
it may affect your connection.
Thanks for you guys support.
I sort it out eventually

What Firmware are you using? Is it a Beta or Official release? What security are you using? What speed is the device?

Re: R7000 nighthawk need to be reset everyday
I m using 1.0.5.70__1.1.91 offical firmware,
security is WPA2 personal,
the router connected to 1000mbps fiber optic modem from ISP.
Currently , I set the schedule to auto reset at 3:00am daily,
I can find the 2.4GHz netgear SSID.
First I need to connect to 2.4GHz netgear SSID
Then the 5 GHz will appeared later on.
so basically I m connecting 2 times everytime for my connection

If you're using smart connect, disable it.

Why are you resetting it?
I'd think you should be looking at the PC, not the router on this, but I assumed you worked before with a different router OK? Is the 2.4Ghz band on the PC set to be the default? If you are using 'smart connect' than as Searay says, this could be the reason, the R7000 is doing 'load balancing' and assigns a device to a specific band based on usage and signal strength.

Re: R7000 nighthawk need to be reset everyday
Did it work alright before f/w update? If yes go back to previous f/w. Instead of resetting, try rebooting. Resetting need reconfiguration or restoring saved configuration file. My router never needs resets or reboot. It just runs and runs for months and on once put into service. When things are running good I don't need to update f/w. Do you read release note first when you update f/w? Was there anything specially applicable to your router operation?

Hi Soxpatriots32,
Which device you are having issues? Is it the CM1000 or the R9000? Have it replaced for possible hardware issue.
