R7000 recently having multiple issues
So within the passed 7 days, my router that has worked without problem for 2 years has suddenly began having a few different issues. I've been running firmware version 18.104.22.168 for 3 weeks and the issues are only the most recent week.
The first thing noticed was that the 5g network was not providing internet. All devices using the 5g network continued to be connected but they weren't able to load browser pages or anything. A router reboot would remove the issue, but only for an hour or so.
Next was that my LAN PCs both began having more of an intermittent internet connection issue. I would constantly get a IP address errors when loading up different websites. I could sit and reload the page constantly and after 5-10 tries it usually brought up the page with no error. This was identical for both pcs I have hard wired to the router and again this would be fixed temporarily with a reboot of the router.
Finally, the last type of issue was with RocketLeague. I would not be able to join any games, I would consistently get "error 67" which some fellow players have attributed to router port management issues.
I'm running the firmware 22.214.171.124. I have performed a hard reset (held down the paperclip reset button for 10 seconds). This removed all my settings of wifi network names and passwords as well as local ip address configuration. It did not roll back the firmware version, I don't know if it did initially and the regular setup automatically installs current firmware or what.
Final thing to say is that replaced the R7000 with my previous 8 year old router and it has been working perfectly (albeit slowly as it has much smaller bandwith).
Just not sure how to deal with these somewhat hard to pinpoint issues. Thanks for the help!
