Re: R7000 to R8000
What exactly are you hoping to improve? How many 5g AC clients do you have in use at the same time?

Re: R7000 to R8000
I would not, yet. I had the R7000, and upgraded.... nothing but issues with mine, in fact tonight it bricked, cannot get it to come up at all. Have done the factory reset, still nothing. Done a 30/30/30, nothing. I think the firmware is very unstable for decent use. Hopefully they fix it with a firmware release, will decide to return it or not based on how quickly they can push a better F/W.
cheers

Totally agree. I went through 2 R8000 and ultimately sent them back to Amazon. My R7000 is working fine and I did not find any differences between the 2 other than multiple issues with the R8000.
As he said I above I would wait until NTGR addresses the issues and the firmware matures.
