R7000 very slow both wired and wireless

My R7000 router has been working great for over a year and now all of a sudden its very slow for both wired and wireless connections.  I've updated the firmware with the latest version and also when I plug in directly to my cable modem the connection with my laptop is very fast.

I see on here where several people have had this problem but resorted to either getting  a replacement and buying another router.  I don't want to do either because its been working great until recently.

Netgear please help!

Sorry its now fixed.  It was actually my cable modem box that was the problem.

Hi jfoscue,

Try to reset the router to factory default. Connect the computer to the  modem and check the speed.

Also, is it slow when accessing local devices on your network, or only slow when accessing the internet?
