R7000

Hello,

I am not able to download the latest firmware update for my nighthawk R7000 router. I always get an error message: the update concerned is

1.0.9.34_10.2.36

could anyone please tell me what to do? I hope Netgear becomes aware of the problem. Thank you

"not able" is not a useful problem description.  It does not say what
you did.  It does not say what happened when you did it.  As usual,
showing actual actions with their actual results (error messages, LED
indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or
interpretations.  Or none at all.

What is that "an error message", or is it a secret?

Start with what you _did_ do?

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads.  For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".  Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want.  Read the "Release Notes" file for
instructions.

Re: R7000

There is support material, including a manual, for the R7000 at the end of this link:

>>>> R7000 | Product | Support | NETGEAR <<<<

You can find the latest firmware there. Check the releases notes for how to install it.

Re: R7000

Hello,

thanks for your reply. There is not really much to tell, except that I log in into routerlogin.net. there is a message about a new firmware update. I click on it. It starts downloading the update. After a few seconds, I get an error message saying: an unknown error:109. That is it.

Re: R7000

See my earlier link to the new firmware. Read the release notes and proceed accordingly.

Many experienced users prefer that approach because it puts them in charge and reduces the risk that a lost internet connection disrupts the download.
