R7000P Trying to mask IP without VPN any help?

Just bought a R7000P AC2300, just got it setup and am trying to use the Netgear Genie to mask my IP. Main reason for buying this was to have a steady connection and to protect myself from DDoS'ers in console gaming (PS4) and for when I stream.
