Has the R7500 had a firmware update that allows it to utilise the MU-MIMO capability of the hardware.?
If not, is this due for release soon?

Re: R7500 MU-MIMO Capability
I haven't got any adaptors that have MU-MIMO capability at present.
I am assuming they will gradually become available in the UK.
I noticed that the new R8500 and R7800 had this feature.
I am assuming that my R7500 has this capability and was wondering if this feature will be implemented on this router.

Re: R7500 MU-MIMO Capability
Is the 7500 v2 a whole new unit or is it a firmware update?
I just bought the X4 7500. Should I return it so I can have MU-MIMO? Is there a big price difference?

Re: R7500 MU-MIMO Capability
As far as I am aware, if you have the v2 version of the R7500 you will have MIMO capability. I would have thought if you have just purchased the unit it would be v2. It may be worth checking with Netgear Support.
From what I've read it appears that the v2 has a different chipset, I believe the v1 firmware will not be updated to support MIMO capability.
I have gleaned this information from various postings so it may be wrong. Perhaps a Netgear Moderator could confirm this ?.
