R7500 MU-MIMO support

I have read in another post the the R7500 v1 will not get MU-MIMO even though it was a big feature advertised and one of the reasons I bought the router. I know the ASUS router that has the same chipset has it working. I would like to find out why Netgear will not support MU-MIMO on the V1 and since the feature is going to be enabled, I would like to know how i can send my router back in for the newer revision as II bought it thinking it would get that support as it was a feature that was to help sell this router.

Hi all,

There is another inquiry for MU-MIMO for R7500. You may check the link below.

Re: R7500 MU-MIMO support

This doesnt answer my question at all. I know of that discussion. I want to know why the V1 is not getting MU-MIMO when it was advertised and sold saying it did have that feature and was to be enabled in a future update. It seems as if the V1 has lost all support with in Netgear and is not getting any support at all. Other routers have gotten updates and the R7500 V1 hasnt gotten any updates since last summer.

Re: R7500 MU-MIMO support

Hi aethman13,

The reason the R7500v2 was released for MU-MIMO support. The R7500 does not have that hardware feature and is not advertised as MU-MIMO support.

You may check this link as well although R7500v2 is not included on the list but it does support MU-MIMO and not the R7500v1.
