Re: R7800 Firmware 1.0.2.28
Yes, I always factory reset, manually load FW, factory reset then setup from scratch.
You might check to see if Voxels FW has up to date miniuPnP. I believe it may. Usually 3rd party dev's like to keep simple things like that up to date.
I would not load any back up saved config files from a OEM FW saved to Voxels loaded FW. Maybe differences.
I'm using v.30SF of Voxels FW.

Re: R7800 Firmware 1.0.2.28
I think voxel said he could not change the miniupnd 'miniupnpd (UPnP daemon) is included into GPL source codes of a stock firmware in binary form (pre-compiled, no source codes are available)' New version out of his firmware though 1.0.2.31SF
I saw this in the register not sure if Netegear are effected but I hope if so there is a patch soon.

Re: R7800 Firmware 1.0.2.28
Unless the core miniupnp code is changed and published to GPL, Voxel and others can't make any changes in that regard. There seems to be a fix so the GPL domain could get the fix and get the fix incorporated. Weather or not all Mfrs will do anything, will be up to them.
I take a big grain of salt with that site. most sites are either biased news or lacking good information.

Re: R7800 Firmware 1.0.2.28
Make sure your cables are good. Swap out and test. Turn off ALL wired devices and test one at a time. Use CAT6. Graduate adding wired devices to see if anything pops up. You can try using Voxels FW. I have v30SF loaded. However i had v12 of the OEM FW that came with my router and have never seen any issues like this. Possible that you could have a bad unit. Test cables and using one device at a time first.

Re: R7800 Firmware 1.0.2.28
Also be sure to disable "Instant ON" feature on the xbox. This cause problems with networking.

Re: R7800 Firmware 1.0.2.28
Good for you since you don't seem to be using NG as your main host router anymore.
Disabling Instant ON is a troubleshooting step. It's a well known issue with Instant ON. Some see it, some don't. Can always be enabled later on.
I never use Instant ON.

Any progress on this?

Only thing I have plugged in is my Xbox 1. Nothing else. I had an old n series router that when I turned on the Xbox it connected no issues. I'll try another port and cable and check firmware. And on voxels I'll look into it.
Thanks

Voxel f/w does not need hard reset. It is now at SF31 version. It is very stable.

Re: R7800 Firmware 1.0.2.28
The reset would be needed after initial installation of Voxels FW on top of NGs OEM FW and is recommended. After that, I presume it may not be needed. I'm still on v30SF.

Re: R7800 Firmware 1.0.2.28
So the only connection wired is my Xbox. I turned instant on off checked the firmware to the latest firmware. So far my Xbox has booted up online without having to reset the router. Turned Xbox on 3 times this weekend. I prefer instant on my Xbox, so sometime this week I will put instant on back on and see if it boots up online. Not sure what made it start working all of the sudden. But I did not install voxels as of yet.

Re: R7800 Firmware 1.0.2.28
Been known issues with Instant On. I saw this a week ago while installing a router with two xbox ones. One would not connect correctly until I disabled Instant ON feature.
