With my weak psychic powers, I can't see your e-mail.

Trust no one, I always say.
What would be interesting now would be the installed firmware
version.
To see one opinion of what's current/available:
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads. (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".) Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want. Read the "Release Notes" file for
instructions. (In the User Manual, look for "firmware", and,
especially, for a topic like "Manually Upload Firmware to the Router".)

And, now it's finally showing up, after 2 days.
Netgear rolled these things out in a particular order.
First they go on to the support section for a device. Then, a bit later, they go on to the update server that feeds the automated process.
But, get this, it has been known to happen the other way round.
Maybe they just want to keep us on our toes.

Re: R7800 firmware not available
Is it just me or have they broken the link to the release notes?
They are in the zip file:
Note that starting with this firmware release (V1.0.2.82), the following features are no longer supported: ReadySHARE Vault, OpenDNS (Live Parental Controls), remote GUI access, and WPS PIN function. If you want to continue using these features, do not update the firmware.
New Features and Enhancements:
- Supports secure HTTP protocol for the router web interface.
- Removes the following features: ReadySHARE Vault, OpenDNS (Live parental controls), remote GUI access, and WPS PIN function.
Security Fixes:
- Fixes security issues.

As someone who publishes web-based communications for a living; I can tell you that pushing out an information campaign before the product/service is actually available through normal channels: big "no no".
It hits the fan when we're 5 minutes early. They were days early... No excuse.

Keep in mind you are talking about Netgear. The folks that have lost their way. Used to be my goto, but no more.
