I am using the R8000 AC 3200 NightHawk with the latest firmware as to date V1.0.4.68_10.1.75. I am connecting to WIFI with my new Lenova YOGA with Windows 10. While connected directly to my Spectrum/charter (E31N2V1) modem and using "speedtest.net" I get approximately 212 Mbps download but my WIFI download speeds were consistantly testing around 75 Mbps.
My fix was this:
Log in to "www.routerlogin.net". Under the BASIC tab select "Dynamic QoS". Then select the radial button for "I want to define my Internet Bandwidth". You will receive a message about not entering to high or to low of a speed. Click past the message and enter the download and upload speeds provided by your ISP in the boxes then select apply.
My download speed went from 75Mbps to 175 Mbps.
My upload speed remains at the max of 10 Mbps as guaranteed by my ISP.
