The date/time on my router is wrong and shows up as 03 Jan 2015. I have set the timezone correctly (GMT +5:30) and currently running firmware version V1.0.3.4_1.1.2. I have read and tried most of the tips from this forum, but nothing has helped. I have reset the router (factory defaults) and reconfigured it but no luck. I checked my logs as well and there seems to be no entry associated with the router synchronizing with a NTP server (i don't recall any setting for NTP either).
Can someone help me figure out how to solve this?
Rajeev.

Hi,
I finally found what was happening. My son plays the Game Overwatch from Blizzard, When the game tried to do an update, for some reason, the router would reboot every time and reset the date/time.
I researched the topic and found that other people had the very same issue. The resolution was to change the "NAT Filtering" from "Secured" to "Open".
The router has not rebooted since and Overwatch updated 4 times so far.
Thanks.

Re: R8000 Current Date/Time is incorrect
Search this site, others have had same issue and found that the DNS was the problem. Or at least changing DNS was a work around until a FW fix.

Re: R8000 Current Date/Time is incorrect
Firmware Version V1.0.3.4_1.1.2
GUI Language Version V1.0.3.4_2.1.49.1
Same problem.
I lost connection to the router, 3 mins later connection restored but first entry in the log is; Thursday, Jan 01,2015 00:00:13
Timezone: GMT-5, Eastern Time Canada/US
What is happening? The router is dying?

Re: R8000 Current Date/Time is incorrect
Hi mboire,
Reset the router and reconfigure. Check the timezone after. Report back if still the same.
