Re: R8000 Firmware Version 1.0.2.44_1.0.96

My R8000 worked great with my USB Flash drive plugged in. Now since updating to the new firmware it is no longer seen. Actually no computer on my network is seen by the R8000 now. What setting did the new Firmware change to make it invisable to all computers and USB flash drive attached to it? What should I be looking for in the settings?

Re: R8000 Firmware Version 1.0.2.44_1.0.96

VPN Pass Through no longer works!!!!

I have a Windows VPN server that was working great until I upgraded the firmware. Now the only way I can connect to the VPN server is if I set up a DMZ (which for obvious reasons is a no go). I have tried manually readding the ports, but nothing.

Any one else having a similar issue?

Hi alloveru,

Setting DMZ is same with opening a specific ports. Have you tried resetting the router to factory default after the update? If not, then try resetting it and manually reconfigure.

Re: R8000 Firmware Version 1.0.2.44_1.0.96

Thanks for the reply, DMZ opens all ports, where specifying a few is a lot easier to manage the security around the select few. Yes windows has gotten better with their firewall, but I would still prefer 2 layers.

I will attempt a factory reset after the update.

Re: R8000 Firmware Version 1.0.2.44_1.0.96

Hi Mastiff,

1. Does intermittent connection only happens in wireless or wired as well?

2. If wireless only, is it on 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz?

3. How many wireless devices experienced wireless issue?

Re: R8000 Firmware Version 1.0.2.44_1.0.96

the connection intermittent is wireless, and all wirless conections have a LOS aside the outside cameras which stay connected but the one HD camera thats right next to the router is the one that keeps getting bumped off.

both 2.4ghz, and 5ghz.

the cameras and other devices; 2 DVD blue ray philips, one TV hisense, 1 iphone5, 4- X10 HD cameras. 1 iphone 6plus.

the HD indoor camera is the one thats 10 feet away from the router and keeps getting kicked off.

Re: R8000 Firmware Version 1.0.2.44_1.0.96

Hi Mastiff,

If you revert back to previous firmware, will you have the same issue for wireless connection? Just to verify that all of wireless devices you have mentioned are experiencing the same problem?
