Look like it came it last week.

Download the file, unpack the .zip file. Use IE11 or FF and update the FW using the routers web page.

My Setup (Cable 1Gbps/50Mbps)>CM1200 v2.02.03(LAG Disabled)>RBK853 v3.2.17.12

Installed this firmware and downgraded to the previous version within an hour. Smart Connect does not work, only one 5Ghz band accessible. Speed a total deception.

Was a full factory reset performed before and after manually loading the FW file then set up from scratch and all browser caches cleared before and after?

Re: R8000 Firmware Version 1.0.3.46

Yup, my remark was based on a cabled upload of the FW, a full reset with sufficient power down time >5 minutes), a flush of my browser, dns cache and the manual reconfiguration of my settings (no restore of settings).

Something you might want to contact NG support and notify them. Your the first to report issues with the new FW. Might contact ElaineM here in the forums.

Re: R8000 Firmware Version 1.0.3.46

Elainem,

See the topic above. With the latest firmware the R8000 is not functioning properly. Only 1 5GHz beam can be used and the smart connection does no longer work. I am confident it is NOT my hardware as downgrading to the previous firmware makes the smart connection work excellent and my devices hop between 2 5GHz beams.

Further I noticed that it is still impossible to isolate the guest SSID devices from the "normal" SSID which is a known issue but I use this opportunity to bring it under your attention again ...

Summary:

R8000 in AP mode. Only one 5GHz beam is used by the latest firmware R8000-V1.0.3.46_1.1.32 the smart connect does not work. (Only one wireless 5GHz beam is accessible the second is totally ignored.) Downgrading to the previous firmware solves the problem immediately. I therefor think this is a bug in the latest firmware.

Please advize
