R8000 Nighthawk X6 won't take a USB hard drive
Re: R8000 Nighthawk X6 won't take a USB hard drive
I have the same problem with plugging my USB HDD into the R8000 USB3 port. I have also reported the problem on 4 different occasions without any follow up from Netgear. I get around the problem this way: Unplug the power from the R8000 router, and unplug the USB3 HDD. Then plug the power back in to the R8000 (without the USB3 HDD) - wait for a complete boot up - then - plug the USB3 HDD back into the USB3 port. The HDD gets recognized, and works every time for me, and just one of three problems I have with the R8000. Hope it works for you.
