R8000 Slow Wireless

I am experiencing slow wireless speed on my R8000 router as described in some other (now closed) topics.

 

My wired connection is fine, but wireless is about half speed at 40 mbps.

 

I have tried several firmware versions, including the latest V1.0.3.4_1.1.2. I have tried resetting the router after updates. I have tried various channels. I have tried various QoS settings.

 

Some posts referenced a beta firmware version that solved the problem. Is this still available and how do I get it?

 

Any other useful thoughts?

1. Is it on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz connection?

2. How many devices are connected wirelessly on each band?

I have a similar problem since I updated to the V 1.0.3.4 firmware 2 weeks ago.

Wireless becomes slow over 24-48 hrs on 2 and 5ghz channels requiring unplugging the router, with this refresh normal speeds return.

The previous firmware had been stable since purchase.

3 concomitant users in the household.
