R8000 - Wider DHCP Range
I'm trying to expand my DHCP range by change the subnet on my LAN, but doing so correctly doesn't seem to allow me to change the 3rd octet of the DHCP range. This is incredibly frustrating and I'm hoping someone in here knows how i can extend this range.
I'm using Address Reservation for logical organization of devices that need to remain on DHCP as they are designed to be moved around between different networks. When these devices are near each other they need to be quickly and easily identified based on IP and/or hostname.
So, in anticipation of people trying to make suggestions that are not related to expanding the DHCP range, just understand that while i don't have hundreds of devices, i reserve 10-20 addresses per logical group and run out of range quickly, and i do have a LOT of logical groups.
Can anyone tell me how to unlock the 3rd octet in the DHCP range? I'm attempting to do a network range as follows:
DHCP Range: 192.168.1.151 --> 192.168.2.240
Re: R8000 - Wider DHCP Range
Changing the LAN subnet config to that very same subnet should adopt the DHCP server accordingly. Assume you have already done that....show us how the DHCP things look like.
