R8000 X6 newbie questions...
Hello all, I've finally dragged myself into 2015 and got a new router.. I went for the R8000 as we have a lot of Internet devices in the house.. This is quite an upgrade from my old Asus N66.. I have to say wifi coverage is amazing and really fast..
Few questions that I can't seam to find the answers to..
1) any way to control device by device access for example I might want my kids to be able to use laptop all day but the wii u only at specific times.
Looking at the block all services function goes some way but it seams I can only have 1 schedule set up at anyone time.. Am I missing something ?
2) Readyshare works but what about Readycloud ? I've tried to set this up but don't see the option to turn it on.. A google search returned that it isn't supported ?? Is this right ?
3) The Genie app is really small on my windows 10 surface pro, is this normal ?
Any help on the above would be very gratefully received...
Thanks in advance

Re: R8000 X6 newbie questions...
Hi @carll76,
Welcome to Community!
Here are my answer to your questions
1.) You may try to use LPC but it will block websites and if you want to block game servers you can use the blacklist option of it. Just make sure you know the server domain of the game. Create bypass accounts so that other devices can access internet.
2.) R8000 is not yet supported by ReadyCloud and no ETA yet when it will be implemented.
3.) This happens when the resolution of your computer is very high. We are now working on it and will provide an update.

Re: R8000 X6 newbie questions...
Thanks for the reply
LPC isnt really a workable solution. My cheaper and much older Asus did this without any problems at all.. Just added the IP / mac address to a list then told it when that device could have internet access.
I've got round it in a basic way.. Set up a schedule 21:00 - 06:30 then created a rule blocking all ports 1 - 65535 adding that rule to a range of IP address (basically all of the kids tech) it works, stops them from getting on the web.. Ideally would like to be able to set up multiple schedules or rules that can be applied to different schedules. Stop the kids playing on minecraft when its homework time
I figured it was DPI related on the screen
I'm sure it was advertised with readycloud !! not the end of the world but would be nice.
