Hi Fora,
I have recently updated my R8000 to firmware version V1.0.3.4_1.1.2 and figured I'd give the Readycloud a try.
So I was able to logon online and even with the app, but as soon as I try to connect my R8000 with the EXACT same username and password (please don't ask me if I'm sure 🙂 ) it gives me the following error:
Registration failed. Please check your user name and password and try again.
Anybody any ideas what I am doing wrong or what might be going on?
In eager anticipation of your replies
Serge

Hi jeffm6719,
Try changing your password to a simpler password. For example: Password123

Re: R8000 & Readycloud Registration failed
Hello Fora,
You have posted this to ReadyNAS board. I will be moving this to the right board which is Home Networking > WiFi Routers > Nighthawk.
Regards,

Re: R8000 & Readycloud Registration failed
@svanlith I was able to register it on the admin page. Please try one more time. If the problem persists, try to change your password.
@danntlewis Do you have the same model number?

Re: R8000 & Readycloud Registration failed
Yes, just bought a R8000. When trying to use readycloud I just get "Registration failed. Please check your user name and password and try again." So there is still a issue...

Re: R8000 & Readycloud Registration failed
Hi,
I solved the issue. I got a hint in a forum that someone had the same issue and by accident solved it by removing some special character in the password. I had tried to change password a few times but always kept a special character in my password (an "&"-sign). Now I removed the "&"-sign and just used normal letters and numbers and then it started to work.
So...there is definitely a bug in the Netgear software.

Re: R8000 & Readycloud Registration failed
The same problem existed with my password. I removed the $ sign from my password (changed password) and it now works!
