Being that it's classified as a consumer router, I'm about 90% certain it does not support jumbo frames with stock firmware.

Ok thanks. Have one on order and will verify once I receive it. My NV+ gets better performance with Jumbo turned on with ny Asus AC66...

No I got confirmation from NETGEAR support that it does not support jumbo frame.

Did some testing with this router, Asus RT-AC66R and my Netgear NV+ NAS.
AC66R with Jumbo packets average 20MB/s
R8000 no Jumbo packets average 16MB/s
Too bad they didn't enable jumbo support on the R8000 router...

No jumbo packet support is a deal breaker for me. This combined with less than stable wireless and poor LAN performance...Sent it back.
Considering Netgear is a network and NAS company why no Jumbo support? Other consumer router manufacturers enable it in their firmware...again I really wanted to keep the X6 but just can't justify the performance degrade.
