R8000 - no lights, only powers is blinking

Only light is the power light and it’s blinking. I connected a computer to the hard wire and it work so I know I have internet there. But It doesn’t seem like the router has any internet. I have tried a restart but when I try to add it back it says I need to connect to the device WiFi, but it doesn’t show up and can’t connect manually. Any help is needed. I haven’t updated the firmware in a while. But now I don’t know how to do it since it won’t connect to the internet.

You may be a candidate for the TFTP recovery scheme.  See, for
example:

No, you don't know that.  A functioning Ethernet cable and Internet
connectivity are two different things.

Perhaps because the router's firmware is corrupt.

   Restart or reset?

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read.  Look for the
LED descriptions, "Troubleshoot", and "Reset".

I don't know what "add it back" means to you, or what, exactly, says
what, exactly, when you do what, exactly.

Interesting: What, exactly, are you doing?  What, exactly, happens
when you do it?

Much less interesting: What you think it all means.

the firmware might have been corrupted. Did you try resetting it by pressing the reset button with a paper clip for 30 seconds. You might be able to reload firmware using tftp, give that a try.
