R8000 stops assigning IP addresses for devices connecting on 2.4GHz

Firmware Version
V1.0.4.62_10.1.74

I have some 2.4GHz only devices such as a printer and a smart thermostat. The router stops commuicating with these devices after running a day or two.

I once do factory reset to recover connection and connection recovered.

However they lost connection again after a while. I have to do factory reset everyday.

I found that those devices can be appeared on the list in "Attached Devices" menu, however, the router failed to assing IP addresses for them. This happens only on 2.4GHz.

Smart Connect is enabled.

The router is configured to turn off in midnight everyday. <= I guess this configuration may destory 2.4GHz?

I found a workaround for this problem. Select a channel from AUTO to something specified explicitly. The router will be stable with it.

I think the router has a design error that can fail to reassign a channel in 2.4GHz.
