R8000 updates

I have question regarding updates for the R8000. I am new to all this tech stuff.  I do not have desktop computer and i tried to update my R8000 router and ended getting an error and destroyed my firmware causing the known "flashing power light. So I need to know if there is a way to update my new R8000 without a desktop or hardwired computer safely, if not does anyone have any other options that can be done without destroying the firmware again? Thank you for any help..

What _do_ you have?  Anything which could accept, say, a USB-Ethernet
adapter?

   And that's its current condition?

If the Power indicator is flashing, then you would seem to need to
use a computer with an Ethernet interface just to get it back to normal
operation.  In that state, the actual firmware version is the least of
your problems.

If none of your computers has an Ethernet interface, and you can't
get a suitable Ethernet adapter for whatever you do have, then you might
want to cultivate a friendship with someone who's better equipped.  Take
the router to the more useful computer, or bring the more useful
computer to the router.
