I bought this router SECOND HAND and need to register it on my name.
I tried doing it last night while setting it up but got a msg saying it has already been registered.
Should the Nighthawk App based installation process fail because the router is registered to another account (Does it? iI yes, I'm happy to add this to the Nighthawk App bug list for Netgears attention) use a Web browser for the installation instead. The product registration on your own account is not mandatory and not supposed to block any functionality.
If you are trying to register it for something like remote access, then you probably need "divine intervention" in the shape of a Netgear moderator.
