Re: R8000P FIRMWARE ISSUE ONGOING

Dear Netgear,

I too am an owner of a now worthless R8000P Router due to the firmware version V1.4.1.50.  I have tried manually updating the firmware, I have had many calls with my ISP to confirm there are no issues on their end, I have run speed tests directly to my modem, I have tried several times to manually update the router on several different machines via direct ethernet connection.  Nothing has worked.  I have also been given the lovely option of paying $50 to get premium support to try to solve the problem for me.  This router is barely a year old and came with a pricetag of $266.  For it to now cost $50 more in "premium support" just to potentially function as its supposed to is a tough pill to swallow.  Also, here is a link to a reddit post where there are quite a few people complaining of the exact same issue.  What can you do to make this right since it appears this is an issue you are aware of internally?

Sincerely,
A frustrated loyal, but teetering on the edge of not loyal at all, customer
