My router won't email the logs to my gmail account. Message: email failed 5.7.8 Username and Password are not accepted. I have triple checked the username and password.

If it doesn't send a test message, then maybe gmail won't work.
I couldn't tell from your first message meant by "Username and Password are not accepted". You didn't say which username and password. If it was the email ones, that would explain it.
I vaguely recall that gmail doesn't work with logs.
Outlook.com works for me, and you can get a free account.

Which mail server are you using for the SMTP settings on your Your Outgoing Mail Server?
Not all servers work with the log settings.
I use outlook.com.
