The DC power port on the R8000P appears to be new/proprietary from previous models. I'm attempting to connect a L-ion UPS backup system to it, but cannot find any adaptor that fits. Does anyone know how to find an adaptor/terminator for it?
The UPS I am using (which I use on all of my other non-Nighthawk routers without any issues) is this sweet little thing.
The R8000P is not listed as a compatible system, but I already knew that. With the right adaptor, it would work fine - I just can't find any adaptors that fit!!
I don't want to resort to using a "traditional" UPS system. They are much louder, significantly bigger, and their battery runtime is minutes compared to the above item which is HOURS. Any thoughts?

Perhaps that connector is different for a reason.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read. Look for "Technical Specifications" and "Power adapter". When I do that, I see:
How well do you think that a 12V power supply will do for your 19V load?

Not all UPS models are equally loud. The run time of 'a "traditional" UPS system' depends on its load. (Perhaps not so proportionally as one might hope, but still...)

Good points, and I honestly had not considered the power load differences since every other device I own and use is 12V. The thought had not crossed my mind that the port structure would be related to the power load - thanks for pointing that out!
Based on this, any thoughts or suggestions on the quietest UPS with the longest runtime? I'm spoiled because that little APC unit is SILENT, and provides hours of runtime.
I've looked at these (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HDC21FE), but hate all the plugs (it's for my router ONLY), hate the size, and I'm skeptical of the noise and runtime.
