R8000P VLAN setup

Is is possible to set up VLAN's on a home network using this router? All I can find in the directions is stuff about VLAN/IPTV, and I am not sure what IPTV is or if this will solve my problem. I have my network at home, plus I am setting up a domain for personal use, and I want to separate the two. Is this possible?

Thanks,

Charles Nailen

Re: R8000P VLAN setup

Hi Charles,

IPTV..  Internet protocol television.  Google for more info.

The R8000P does support wired or wireless vLAN tag grouping.  Introducing a smart switch with layer3 protocol support may provide additional capability.  However, I'm not completely clear whar you are trying to accomplish.

Re: R8000P VLAN setup

I have my normal home network which contains my TV's, phones, tablets, etc. that connects to my ISP. I have a separate domain which I also want to attach to my ISP, but be able to have separate DNS, DCHP, etc. on the domain. Hope that makes it a little clearer.
