Re : R8500 Beta FW V1.0.2.28
Is Access Control working? I didn't see it in the list, but I'm hoping it is now working and just not listed : )
Thanks!

Re: R8500 Beta FW V1.0.2.28
I will say this... after buying wireless since there have been wireless routers, the R8500 has been the most reliable and best performing I've ever owned. It simultaneously handles VoIP/video over an encrypted VPN connection, large downloads/transfers, and hi def video streaming without a glitch.
I was starting to give up on Netgear in recent years (having been a big fan when it first entered the market)... but this device has changed my mind!

@Rick27607 Try to do a factory reset and then reconfigure the router.

Re: R8500 Beta FW V1.0.2.28
Hi and thanks for the advice Elaine!, and yes, tried that on my own a couple of times, and after the reset, I left QOS off but still had an issue.
I chatted with Netgear support over the weekend and we ended up determining that I was only getting 5Mbs down using wifi w/ a 100MB isp service (10.5 up was working as expected and was also getting 100Mbs or close to it down and 10.5 up when hard wired). Reflashing and factory resetting the router did not help unfortunately. So I obtained an RMA and am having a replacement using sent out hopefully this week.
Related to the netgear warranty replacement policy if it helps anyone monitoring to allow me to share a voice of the customer experience...[stepping on soap box], I chose the $16.90 option where a unit is sent to me and I return the bad unit w/in 10 days of receipt which is kinda adding insult to injury after spending over $350 for this router in May and have been having issues ever since I got it. My dissatisfaction with the warranty replacement policy is that the replacement should be shipped to me free having the new unit sent to me after I provided a credit card as security to ensure return of the bad unit. Option 1 of offering a free replacement if I first send back the bad router and then wait weeks for a replacement with no router is not really a customer friendly warranty replacement option in my opinion [stepping off soapbox].
